PROTECTION OPTIONS
As a renter, you have several options to protect yourself
in case of accident, loss or damage to the vehicle. They
are:
1. Relying on your own insurance policy on your personal
vehicle. An estimated 60 percent of all auto insurance policies
cover rental car losses. However, coverage may vary. Be
sure to check with your insurance agent before you travel
to determine rental car damage and loss coverage and restrictions
under your own insurance. There are some states that require
auto insurance providers to cover their policy holders for
damage to the rental cars.
2. Relying on your personal credit card. Some bank credit
cards offer primary protection, in which case the card company
will pay all damage or loss and not use your insurance policy.
Be sure to verify what your credit card company will and
will not cover. Never assume you are protected without getting
the facts. Most bank credit cards and charge cards offer
secondary insurance protection. Secondary insurance protection
provides benefits that cover any damage or loss not covered
by the limits of your insurance policy. Be aware that you
must still file a claim under your own policy first.
3. Purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW, also called Loss
Damage Waiver) from the car rental company. A “waiver’
is not insurance, It is an agreement between the car rental
company and the renter that means that the company will
not hold the renter responsible for accidental damage or
loss and will pay for all costs itself unless the renter
violates the terms of the rental agreement. Companies impose
a daily charge for CDW. These charges range from $8.95 per
day to as much as $100 per day. CDW is an optional charge.
Liability insurance covers the driver against claims by
others for bodily injury and property damage up to the minimum
state requirements and a specific limit.
REFUNDS
- If a renter plans to pay cash, AllRite credits the renter’s
credit card any charges at the time the car is returned.
- If a renter has paid a cash deposit rather than using
a credit card the balance remaining (after charges are deducted
from the deposit) is refunded in cash at the end of the
rental.
RENTAL AGREEMENT
- “Contract” between AllRite and the renter.
- Requires the renter’s signature and lists charges
and conditions.
RENTAL QUALIFICATIONS
- You must have a valid driver’s license issued by
the state in which you reside.
- You must be 18 years of age or, in some limited cases,
21 years of age.
- Prefer payment by valid major credit card in your own
name.
- If you intend to pay by cash, you must have a verifiable
home phone, proof of insurance, proof of employment and
post a cash deposit in addition to prepaying all rental
charges.
RESERVATION
- Confirmation of a vehicle which is reserved for a customer
at a particular location, on a specified date, at an agreed
upon price.
- Cars are reserved by rate code/car category.
- Advance reservation required: To call AllRite, see our
phone numbers under “Contact Us”.
-Unless you receive a second conformation email your

RESPONSIBILITY FOR RENTAL VEHICLES
AllRite holds the renter responsible for the safe return
of the rental car in same condition as it was rented, except
for normal wear and tear Unless prohibited by state law,
a renter may be held responsible for all damages should
the vehicle be damaged in an accident, stolen or vandalized.
This is the case regardless of fault. Whether or not you
caused the accident, you may be asked to pay for the damage
up to and including the total cost of replacing the vehicle
in case of a total wreck or loss. Be sure any damage to
the car has been recorded properly before you leave the
rental facility.
RETURNING YOUR CAR
Give yourself ample time to return your car. While we pride
ourselves on expediting the return, you may still need a
few moments. Your car should be checked for damage at the
time of return by both you and our return agent. If there
is damage, you may be required to fill out a damage report.
Make sure you take a copy of the damage report with you
for any insurance and/or credit card reimbursement procedures.

SURCHARGES
You may want to ask about any potential charges when you
pick up your AllRite car, including state and city taxes
or surcharges. Some states, as well as some city governments,
impose surcharges on each rental to generate revenues. These
are listed separately on the rental agreement as a surcharge
or tax.
Airport Fees.
Some airports impose a tax or fee on deplaning passengers
for off-airport rental car transactions only if the customer
exits the airport using AllRite’s shuttle bus. In
airports where this applies, this tax or fee is an additional
charge. The amount of the tax or fee varies by airport.
In some airports it is a percentage of the rental charge,
while in others it is a flat sum regardless of the amount
of the rental charge. If you rent within an airport’s
jurisdiction, which imposes such a tax or fee, and if you
use a shuttle bus to reach your rental station, this charge
will appear as a separate item entitled Airport Tax on your
rental agreement. You can avoid this tax or fee by using
another means of transportation, i.e. a taxi or private
auto) to reach the rental location. If you advise the AllRite
rental agent at the counter, you may be provided with an
exemption certificate to sign certifying that you did not
exit the airport using a shuttle bus service.
- This fee will be quoted when you pick up a car.
Late Charges.
. AllRite calculates rates based on a 24-hour period. Your
rate will be calculated based on the return time you agreed
to when picking up the car. If you do not return the car
on time, you may incur a late charge.
TAXES
- Local sales taxes and airport-imposed taxes or fees vary
according to location.
- Some states and local governments also impose rental
taxes and surcharges.

to renting
